Nice to meet you!
I'm an author, editor, teacher, and teacher trainer in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT). I taught English, French, and Japanese for over 20 years in Asia, Africa, and the US. My MA in TESL is from the School for International Training in Vermont.
I currently write and edit English language teaching materials and textbooks, and conduct teacher training workshops. My areas of specialty and interest include teaching writing, teaching reading, business English, academic English, testing, and humor. I'm a frequent plenary speaker at international conferences, and do online webinars and trainings as well.
Feel free to browse around the site to learn more about what I do. If you want to contact me, you can message me here or find me on social media.

Résumé
I give short and long-term workshops and training sessions (1.5 hours to a month long) to English teachers. I'll travel to any country that lets me in. Recently I've given workshops in curriculum development, classroom management, testing and test-item writing, business English, and the teaching of writing, reading, vocabulary, listening, speaking, and study skills. Contact me if you need something else; if I can't do it, I can probably recommend someone who can. My workshops emphasize practical, hands-on training with immediate classroom applications. In 2012 I founded Wayzgoose Press, a micropress specializing in educational materials, literary and genre fiction, and nonfiction. After working in-house as a Senior Development Editor for Cambridge University Press, I now freelance on developmental editing, production editing, copy editing, and proofreading. I'm experienced with print and digital/online products. I catch the little stuff (and the big stuff), hit deadlines, and work well with authors. Click for a selection of titles I've worked on.
